"Change is not something that we should fear. Rather, it is something that we should welcome. For without change, nothing in this world would ever grow or blossom, and no one in this world would ever move forward to become the person they're meant to be." Bellur Krishnamachar Sundararaja Iyengar (14 December 1918 – 20 August 2014), known as B.K.S Iyengar was considered as one of the greatest yoga teachers in the world. He is one of the masters who transferred the wisdom of the yoga culture in the East to the western world and made it understandable and accessible to us. His teaching is based on Hatha yoga, he was the founder of the style known as "Iyengar Yoga" which focuses on alignment. The alignment is not just important because will make us look beautiful in a posture as many critics nowadays try to put a shadow on the aim to perfection in the performance of yoga postures. The proper alignment of every muscle, bone and joint is crucial in order to protect them and to get the most benefits from the asana. "Light on Yoga" by B.K.S Iyengar is a must book for any practitioner - beginner or more advanced. It describes more than 200 asana with great number of photos and detailed explanation for each posture how to be performed, variations, benefits. Completely worth to have it! There is free pdf formats available just by typing "Light on yoga pdf".

"Your body exists in the past and your mind exists in the future. In yoga, they come together in the present". And actually feels good to live in the moment, as it is something we experience for real not just happening in our head.
